My counselor told me "you're not a bad mom for placing" and it changed everything

I always beat myself up thinking I gave up too easily. When my birth mom counselor at Family Paths in Oakland said those words during our third session, something clicked. Has anyone else had a professional say something that reframed how you see your choice?
