Wonder what excuse they finally coughed up... Paperwork delays don't usually take eight months without a single word. Was it just radio silence the whole time, then they got defensive when you called them out?

Oh man, eight months of silence is brutal. Did they at least give you any kind of update when you called them out, or did they just go quiet again? I'm really curious what their actual excuse was, like if they blamed it on paperwork or something else.
