Found my daughter's birthmom on Facebook three months ago and messaged her

After 22 years of wondering if she ever thought about the baby she placed for adoption, I finally got a reply last Thursday night and now we're exchanging photos this weekend, has anyone else had a reunion go well after decades of silence?

Went through something similar with my brother we lost touch with for 15 years, and just keeping the first messages simple and letting the other person set the pace made all the difference.
