Crafting a new memory box after 14 years felt heavier than expected

Had a stretch of five days last month where every little thing went right, then one rough Sunday knocked me sideways. I finally sorted through the baby clothes and hospital bracelet I'd kept in a shoebox since 2011, plus a letter I wrote but never sent. Putting them into a proper cedar chest from a shop in Tacoma made the whole thing feel more real, not less. Anyone else find that making a physical keepsake makes the grief louder before it gets quieter?
