Appreciation post: My 50th birth mother meetup finally hit different

I went to my 50th support group meetup for birth mothers in Seattle last week and it FINALLY clicked why I kept going. The first 30 or so meetups were mostly me crying or being angry at the system. But number 50 was different because a newer birth mom said my story helped her feel less alone. That number 50 milestone mattered because it showed me consistency actually builds something real over time. Has anyone else noticed a specific meeting number or event where everything suddenly made more sense?

Went to 40 meetings before one random lady's story made me ugly cry in public.

40 meetings before it clicked? Ngl that's wild. I gotta respect the persistence though, most people would've quit after like 5 or 6. Must've been something about that lady's story that just hit different, like she was speaking directly to you. Tbh I think those moments are what keep people coming back - you never know when somebody's gonna say the exact thing you need to hear. 40 meetings is a serious investment of time though, that's dedication.
