Appreciation post: a birth mom on a podcast said 'I'm not a chapter she's closed, I'm a person she'll meet'
Heard that on 'The Longest Shortest Time' and it stuck with me for days. Does that kind of language help or hurt when you're waiting?

That line is a beautiful sentiment, but it feels like a lot of pressure. It frames the future meeting as a sure thing, which can make the present wait harder. Sarah's point about how words stick is true, but some of them can weigh you down.

Wait that was on The Longest Shortest Time... that show ended like five years ago. Crazy how a line can just hang around that long.

Lines from old shows get stuck in my head for years too. I still quote random things from shows that got canceled ages ago. It's funny how that stuff just lives in your brain forever.
