35 letters written since January, that felt like a lot to see stacked up

I counted them out this morning before sealing another one for my birth son's adoption file. He is turning 9 next month, so I guess I can mail them to the agency or just keep them safe, either way it is more than I thought I would ever manage. Has anyone else written letters to their child even if they are not sure they will ever read them?
