Tried that show people at work wouldn't shut up about and it actually hooked me in 2 episodes

I figured The Bear was just another overhyped chef drama so I ignored it for months until my buddy Jeff in accounting kept quoting it at lunch. Gave in last Friday and binged the whole first season before Sunday dinner. Anybody else cave to pressure from a coworker and end up glad you did?

Jeff from accounting convinced me to watch Better Call Saul about three years after it ended. I was so stubborn about it I missed out on all the water cooler talk at the time. Now I'm the one telling people to stick with it through season one.

Season 1 is definitely the biggest hurdle, but I always tell people it pays off by episode 5 when Mike shows up in the parking lot. @avery_fox93, I think you're selling the show a little short though, it's not just about sticking with it, the slow burn is what makes everything hit so much harder later. Once Chuck's condition gets more screen time, you realize every boring detail was setting up something huge. You watching the final season yet, or still catching up?
