That famous 90s show I finally binged was a total letdown
I saved The Sopranos for a slow week at home in Cincinnati and knocked out 3 seasons in 6 days, but the pacing just drags so bad in season 2 that I had to force myself through it. The character writing is good, but everyone hypes it like it's the greatest thing ever and I feel like I missed the boat on why it matters now. Did anyone else have this experience, or do I need to push through to the later seasons before judging?

Man, I feel this so hard. I did the exact same thing with Ozark a couple years back and everybody swore it was peak TV, but by season 2 I was just checking my phone every ten minutes. The pacing in those mid-seasons gets so bogged down with side plots that don't go anywhere, it's like they stretched one good season into three. Maybe the payoff is worth it for some people, but I bailed after ten episodes and never looked back. You're not crazy for feeling this way, the hype just doesn't match the actual experience for a lot of us.
