Spent a whole week on a show and the finale just cut to black with no resolution

I got through all 8 episodes of that true crime doc only for the last one to end mid-trial with a message saying check their website for updates, so has anyone else run into a show that just stops without wrapping things up?

Wait, did they at least say when the trial update would drop?

Pretty sure they never gave a real date, just said "soon" which in dev speak means somewhere between next month and never. I been burned by that before, so I'm not holding my breath. Last time they promised a trial update it took six extra weeks and we got a patch that broke the save files. They did say something about a blog post with more details, but that was three weeks ago and the blog's still got last month's news on it. Keep an eye on the discord if you want the real scoop, the steam page is useless.
