My whole view on TV changed after watching The Bear in one weekend

I used to think a good show needed a slow build, but watching all 18 episodes of The Bear in two days made me see how a fast pace can pull you in. The stress of the kitchen and the family drama just kept me hitting next, and I felt like I was right there in Chicago with them. Has anyone else found a show that changed how you watch TV?

Totally get that, and @angelacooper makes a good point about just diving in. But doesn't that kind of binge make the whole show blur into one long movie for you? I wonder if you lose some of the weekly tension that lets big moments really sink in.

Yeah, that "fast pace pulling you in" thing is so real. I had the same thing with the first season of Bodyguard on Netflix. The tension in those first two episodes just doesn't let up, and before you know it you've watched the whole thing in a night. It made me stop saving shows for a "right time" and just dive in.
