My friend talked me into watching a show about a chess player and I was so wrong

I thought a show about chess would be super boring, but I gave The Queen's Gambit a shot after she said it was more about the character. I ended up watching all six episodes in one weekend, which I never do. The way they showed her mind working during the games was actually really tense. Anyone have other shows that make a quiet subject feel that exciting?

Try the show Halt and Catch Fire.

@caseywest I totally get that. I was the same way, thought it would be just people staring at a board for hours. But man, watching her figure out moves in her head was way more intense than I expected. Halt and Catch Fire is a good call too, same vibe of making tech stuff feel like a thriller.
