My friend insisted I watch 'The Fall of the House of Usher' in one sitting

He said it hits different if you power through all eight episodes without stopping, and I was skeptical because that's like 7 hours. But by episode 3 I was hooked and finished at 4 AM, and honestly the way the callbacks connect really does work better that way. Has anyone else tried a full day binge on a miniseries and regretted the lost sleep?

Binging it in one go probably hits different for catching all the Poe references, but I had to split it over a few days because that show is so relentlessly dark. Seven straight hours of that tone feels more like endurance than enjoyment to me, and I appreciated having time to process each death before the next one started. Losing sleep over it sounds rough, but I bet you caught details I completely missed by taking breaks.

Nah you're right about the endurance thing @davis.keith... I've noticed that with horror games too, like I can only play about 45 minutes of something tense before my brain just checks out. It's weird how different media hits people differently, some shows you can breeze through and others need that breathing room.
