I wasted 3 hours on a show that got canceled mid-season

Last month I started watching this show called The Hunted on Prime. It had this cool premise about a group of strangers waking up in a forest with no memory. I got super into it, binged like 10 episodes in one weekend. Then I hit the last episode and it ended on a huge cliffhanger. I checked online and found out it got canceled after season 1 with no resolution. So I basically wasted 12 hours of my life for nothing. Has anyone else gotten burned by a show that just stops like that?

Started watching a show called The Bridge once. Same thing happened. So frustrating.

Yeah I got burned by that show Flash Forward back in 2009. Ended on a crazy cliffhanger and then just gone. What finally worked for me was checking if shows are actually done before I start them now. I use a site called DoesTheDogDie or just Google if the show got cancelled. Saves me a ton of time. Also I started sticking to shows that have at least 2 or 3 seasons already out so I know they're safe.
