I found out The Bear's kitchen scenes were shot with real cooks standing just off camera
I was reading a behind the scenes piece on The Bear last week and found out they had actual chefs working just outside the frame during all the kitchen shots. The actors were basically reacting to real food sizzling and real tickets getting called out, which is why the panic feels so real. I went back and rewatched the season 2 episode with the family dinner and you can totally tell the difference in how the cast moves, they bump into each other like people who actually work in a crowded kitchen. It made me realize I had been watching a lot of shows where the cooking is just background noise. Anyway I finished all 3 seasons in 11 days and now I have nothing to watch. What show should I start next if I want that same kind of real feeling?
