I bought a whole streaming service for one show that turned out to be terrible

I signed up for a free trial of a new streaming service just to watch their big original series everyone was talking about. The show was a boring fantasy drama with bad acting, and I only made it through two episodes. I forgot to cancel the trial, so they charged me $14.99 for a full month I didn't use. Has anyone else fallen for the hype around a show that was a total letdown?

Oh man, my buddy did that exact thing last year. He got some fancy service just for that space show that looked so cool in the ads... it was painfully slow and he gave up after one episode. He also forgot to cancel and got hit with the full monthly charge, which stung.

That's such a common trap these days. Companies bank on us forgetting about those small monthly fees after the free trial. It feels like a tax on being busy or just not paying close attention.
