Debate: Did I mess up by picking a regular chain whip over a locking one?
I had to choose between a standard chain whip for $15 and a locking one that was $30... I went cheap and now the chain slips sometimes when I'm breaking free a tight cassette lockring. Has anyone else had this problem with the non-locking style?

The "locking" ones just pinch the chain, they don't actually lock it so it'll still slip sometimes.
