Why does nobody talk about how balcony direction changes everything

Switched from a north-facing balcony to a south-facing one last spring. My tomatoes went from spindly 6-inch plants to 3-foot bushes loaded with fruit in just 4 months. Anyone else notice a huge difference when they changed their balcony's sun exposure?

Right, because who needs afternoon sun when you can just watch your basil slowly turn into a crisp? Glad your morning glories figured out the memo before they packed it in.

Read an article saying east facing is way better for most herbs actually.

Switched from west to east facing last year and honestly it changed everything for me too. My herbs went from barely hanging on to literally taking over the whole balcony. Never realized how much that direct afternoon sun was just cooking everything. Even my morning glories finally bloomed like crazy, they never did anything on the west side. Ngl it was a total game changer seeing how much happier my plants were. Makes you wonder why more people don't talk about this when they're picking apartments.
