Showerthought: My cherry tomatoes exploded after I started talking to them everyday
Okay so this sounds crazy but hear me out. Last June my balcony tomatoes were leggy and barely producing anything. My neighbor Linda from 3B stopped by and said she sings to her peppers every morning and gets huge harvests. I laughed it off but figured what the hell and started chatting with my plants while watering. Two weeks later I had more cherry tomatoes than I could eat. Has anyone else tried this or is my neighbor just weird?

That talking to the plants idea sounds wild but I've heard similar stuff about how CO2 from our breath helps them grow. Did you notice if your tomatoes started popping off right after you began talking or was it a slow build up?

Did you ever check if anything else changed around the same time? Sunlight hours, watering schedule, even the soil composition could have shifted without you noticing. @thomas_scott is probably right that CO2 can help a tiny bit, but a human talking vs just breathing makes an almost immeasurable difference. Your tomatoes likely exploded because you watered them more consistently, not because you complimented their leaf structure. Correlation is not causation, that's all I'm saying.
