My dad insisted I needed a bigger pot for my balcony tomatoes
Honestly, I thought my 5-gallon bucket was fine for the cherry tomatoes I started in April. Tbh, the plants got super root-bound and only gave me a handful of fruit before they just gave up. What size do you guys actually use for a decent harvest?

Yeah, 5 gallons is way too small for tomatoes.

My dad told me the same thing last year about my 10-gallon pots. I didn't listen and got maybe three sad tomatoes total. He was completely right, they just need a crazy amount of room.
