My basil plant gave me 47 leaves from a single grocery store pot

I just counted them all, which felt a bit crazy, but it's more than I got from the three 'proper' herb kits I bought. Has anyone else had a random cheap plant go absolutely wild?

My grocery store mint plant took over a whole window box last year. I just gave it way more water than the instructions said and it went nuts. Sometimes the cheap ones just have more life in them.

Oh wow, that's awesome! I had a similar thing happen with a basil plant from the clearance rack at the grocery store. I basically ignored all the fancy care rules and just put it in a big pot with lots of sunlight and watered it whenever I remembered. That thing turned into a total monster, way bigger than the expensive starter plants I've tried. It really does seem like sometimes the cheap ones are just tougher and more eager to grow if you give them half a chance.
