My balcony gets 3 hours of sun, so I picked cherry tomatoes over lettuce and now I have a jungle
I flipped a coin back in April between cherry tomatoes and lettuce because my north-facing balcony in Chicago only gets about 3 hours of direct sun a day. The tomatoes won, and by July the vines had climbed past my railing and my neighbor asked if I was trying to grow a privacy fence. Should I hack them back now, or just let them take over and call it a living curtain?
