I was a pepper snob for 2 years, then my patio plants called me out

I used to insist store-bought bell peppers were fine and balcony growing was pointless. Then my Thai chili plant in a 5 gallon bucket produced 40 pods over 9 weeks, and honestly the flavor difference was bigger than my ego wanted to admit. That single harvest in Portland convinced me to tear out half my herbs for more pepper varieties. Anyone else have a plant that made you flip your whole setup after one season?
