Hot take: bottom-watering my balcony tomatoes from a $4 plastic tray fixed my yellow leaves
I kept losing lower leaves every August on my west-facing balcony in Sacramento until a neighbor told me to stop pouring water over the top and just fill a shallow tray under the pots. Two weeks in, the new growth came in green and I stopped finding dropped leaves every morning. Anyone else bottom-watering on a balcony, and how long do you let them sit before dumping the extra?
