Honestly, my entire basil harvest almost got wiped out by a surprise storm last Tuesday.
I was in my apartment in Austin when a huge gust of wind knocked over three of my fabric pots, spilling soil and snapping stems. I managed to prop them back up with some old bricks and trimmed the broken parts to try and salvage them. Has anyone else had to do emergency repairs after bad weather hit their balcony setup?
Actually, it was my cilantro that got the haircut. Basil's been fine all season. The cilantro did come back, but it bolted pretty fast after that. Next time I might just start a new pot instead of trying to save it.
