Spent $1,800 on a used waveform generator, best and worst money I've moved

Picked up a used Tektronix AWG from an auction site last spring for my bench. Thought I was getting a steal, but the thing had a flaky output channel that took me two weeks to trace. Ended up fixing it myself with a $40 transistor kit, so the total still beat buying new. But honestly, the time I lost chasing that gremlin on a deadline for a cargo bird made me question the whole gamble. Tbh, it's saved my butt on a few tricky pitot static checks since then, so I'm on the fence about used gear now. Anyone else roll the dice on refurbished test equipment and live to tell about it, or did you get burned worse than me?
