Hit 500 circuit board repairs this morning and it hit me how many I botched early on

Pulled the logbook on a slow day and counted 487 successful repairs since my first one, but I still remember that one radio I cooked because I mixed up the pinout on a connector back in 2019 - anyone else keep a running tally in their head of the failures too?

Ha, yeah but I actually think that's a good thing, not a bad thing. That one failure is what keeps you sharp. If you forget the ones you screwed up, you're just going to make the same mistake again down the road. I'd rather be haunted by a single radio from 2019 than get complacent and botch something important next week. The wins are great but the losses are what actually make you better.
