Finally understood why our shop's old wire crimper felt off
It was a cheap generic one from years back, and the crimps were never quite right. Switched to a proper AMP tool last month, and the difference in connection integrity is night and day. Anyone have a go-to brand for coax crimpers?

Man, that reminds me of the time I tried to fix my cable box with a pair of pliers. What a mess that was. I ended up with more signal noise than a radio stuck between stations. A good crimper really does make all the difference for a clean job.
