Debate: Is digital troubleshooting better than old-school signal tracing?
Honestly, I've been doing avionics for 12 years and I swear by analog signal tracing with a multimeter, but my new partner swears digital analyzers save time. After working on a King Air 350 last month, I saw him catch a wiring fault in 20 minutes that would've taken me an hour. Which method do you all lean on for intermittent issues?

Yeah I mean I've been in that exact spot, the digital stuff is great for chasing ghosts on a King Air but I still grab my analog meter when I need to feel the signal move. That digital analyzer your partner used is probably a game changer for intermittent stuff though, especially on a turbine where everything is cramped and you can't get a good ground. Maybe it's just me but I think it really comes down to how bad the fault is and how much time you have to mess with it. If it's a straight up broken wire I'd still rather trace it the old way cause I trust my eyes more than a screen sometimes. But for those gremlins that pop up and vanish, let the digital box do the heavy lifting while you grab a coffee.

Friend of mine had one act up and the digital caught it in like 5 minutes flat.
