That phantom 747 story from @the_derek is wild. My car's nav system once tried to route me through a lake during a heavy rain because the traffic data glitched out.

Saw the same crazy stuff on my feed during that downpour. My receiver picked up a phantom 747 doing circles at 500 feet over the shopping mall for like twenty minutes. Makes you wonder how much weird data gets tossed around when the weather gets rough. My whole log is full of altitude jumps and ghost flights from last night.

Used to brush off these glitch stories as nonsense. Thought it was just bad data or people misreading their gear. But after tracking my own receiver during a thunderstorm last year, I saw the same stuff. Now I'm convinced weather doesn't just mess with signals, it can completely scramble the system. Makes you question what else we're missing when the skies open up.
