Swapped from a K&N to a dry filter on my 2015 Civic after reading about MAF sensor issues

I was always Team Oil until last month when a buddy showed me the gunk buildup on his intake tube after 20k miles, has anyone else noticed better fuel trims after ditching oily filters?

Yeah my buddy had K&N on his '12 Si and cleaned the MAF three times in one year. He switched to dry and said it was the first time his fuel trims stayed put between oil changes.

Man I was totally on the K&N hype train for years, swore by them. Then a buddy's MAF sensor got all messed up on his Accord and that was enough for me. Swapped to a dry filter last month on my Fit and yeah, fuel trims look a little happier now.
