Stumbled on a stat that blew my mind about turbo lag
Was reading through an old forum post from 2018 and found out that some diesel turbos spool up to 150,000 RPM. That's faster than a dentist's drill on max speed. Made me think twice about complaining about a half-second lag on my daily driver. Anyone else ever look up random specs like this just for fun?

Right? That thirty seconds of lag is like a free "think before you wreck" button. I swear my transmission has been saved more times by that delay than by any mechanic I've ever paid. It's like the car's way of saying "you sure about that, genius?
