My muffler fell off on I-95 last Saturday and I had to rig it with baling wire

Driving home from my buddy's place in Richmond and heard a scraping sound. Pulled over and saw the whole muffler was hanging by one rusted hanger bracket. Grabbed some wire from my trunk and wrapped it around the pipe and frame to get it home. It held for about 15 miles until I could weld it proper at my uncle's shop. Anyone else had to do a ghetto fix like that on the side of the highway?

Yeah man, @jordan464 I think that's just how it goes sometimes. You end up using whatever is in your trunk because the alternative is sitting on the side of the road waiting hours for a tow truck. It's like a life lesson that most problems have a quick fix if you're willing to get your hands a little dirty.

Yeah man, I did almost the same thing with my old F-150 on the interstate... had the whole exhaust pipe dragging and wrapped a coat hanger around it to make it to a shop.
