Missed a shift at the track, now I run dogbone mounts
At Summit Point last month, I yanked the shifter into third during a hard pull and the whole drivetrain twisted so bad the clutch pedal went dead. Turns out my stock motor mounts were shot, letting the engine rock a good 3 inches. I threw in polyurethane dogbone mounts over the weekend and the shifts are crisp now, but the whole cabin vibrates like a massage chair at 80 mph. Worth it for the consistency, but has anyone else dealt with NVH getting worse after stiffer mounts?
