Crossed 200 engine swaps on Saturday and it honestly made me stop for a second

I was just finishing up an LS swap on a buddy's 94 C1500 last weekend, nothing crazy just a basic 5.3 with a cam. After we fired it up and let it idle out I started cleaning up and something just hit me. I counted back through my shop logs and realized that was swap number 201. I started doing these back in 2016 with a junk yard 4.8 into a beat up S10. Never thought I'd do more than a few for friends but now I've got a whole notebook full of harness diagrams and mount templates. The milestone that got me wasn't the number itself though, it was realizing how many different cars I've seen with the same basic problems. Bad grounds, wrong flexplate bolts, forgetting the pilot bearing. Has anyone else had that moment where you look back at all the work you've done and just get surprised by the total?

Nah, bolt-in swaps can still be clean work. You're overthinking it.

Used to think swaps were just bolt in work, but this really changed my mind about how much goes into each one.
