Why does nobody talk about LG compressor failures from 2020
Last month I got three calls in one week for LG fridges from 2020 that all had the same issue. Compressor would run for about 10 minutes then shut off with a knocking sound. Checked the inverter board first on the first one, that was fine. Replaced the compressor on all three and they've been running smooth since. Has anyone else seen a spike in these 2020 models or is it just my area in Phoenix?

Honestly, I used to brush off compressor complaints on LG as people just getting unlucky or user error. I had a buddy who swore the 2020 models were cursed but I figured he was exaggerating. Then last month I had a neighbor call me in a panic because her 2020 LG fridge went out for the third time with that exact knocking sound you described. I helped her look at it and sure enough it was the compressor, inverter board was totally fine just like you said. After that I started noticing more posts online and realized it's not just a Phoenix thing, it's a real pattern. Changed my mind completely on the whole "it's just bad luck" take.

Did you check if it was the older R600a models or the newer ones?
