Watched a tech change a compressor in 20 minutes flat

Guy from Appliance Rescue in Houston. Had this trick where he flushed the lines with nitrogen before even pulling vacuum. I was taking 45 minutes just on vacuum alone. Anybody else seen shortcut methods that actually work?

Oh wow, that reminds me of a guy who used to blow out lines with brake cleaner, crazy stuff.

And thats exactly the kind of stuff that separates the guys who just get it done from the ones who follow the book to the letter. Ive seen guys skip the nitro flush and still pull a good vacuum in 20 minutes if theyve got a good pump and the right hoses. But the real trick is knowing when to use the quick connect adapters on the service valves to cut down on the back and forth. Once you figure out how to read the gauges right you can tell if the system is clean without wasting time on unnecessary steps. Not saying skip the vacuum but its more about knowing what you can get away with than just rushing through it.
