Watch out for miswired dryer thermostats on Samsung units
I just had a call last Tuesday where a guy had replaced his own thermostat three times in two months. Turns out someone had swapped the high-limit and cycling thermostat wires on the back of the element housing. It was a DVE45A model and the schematic was buried under the lint shield. If you rush through those Samsung dryers without double checking the wire colors against the diagram, you're gonna keep blowing parts. Has anyone else seen this mixup on the newer models?

Three of my customers had identical thermostat failures on Samsung DV45H models last year and every single one was user error on the wiring, not the machine. The factory color codes are actually pretty clear if you take the time to read the little plastic tag molded into the harness cover that no one ever looks at. People just assume both thermostats are the same part and plug them in however they fit, then blame Samsung when it cooks the element.

Bet the wiring mistake happens even more on the models where they swapped the connector shapes between the two thermostats in different production runs. Had a buddy who worked at a repair shop and he said they kept two bins of thermostats sorted by year just to keep it straight.
