Vent: Just hit 1000 calls for the same fridge water filter issue
It's always a Whirlpool W10295370 filter housing that's cracked and leaking. I've seen it so many times now I can diagnose it over the phone. Has anyone else noticed this specific part failing at a crazy rate lately?

My buddy owns an appliance repair shop and he told me last month he had a lady call him crying because her kitchen floor was flooded for the third time from that exact same filter housing. He went over there and it was the same cracked W10295370 part again, the third one in two years for her. She said the first two were still under warranty but the third one she had to pay for out of pocket because it expired. He said he's started keeping like a dozen of those housings in his van at all times because he replaces so many. It's got to be a bad batch from the factory or something, that many failures on one part is not normal.
