TIL a lot of people are forgetting to check the door seal on fridges before ordering a new compressor

Had a guy in Tulsa last month swear his fridge was dead but after I cleaned a dime out of the seal it ran fine, anyone else see this mistake all the time?

Wait is that actually a real thing or did it just blow up on TikTok? I feel like I've seen it mentioned a few times but never looked into it myself.
