Had a nightmare Tuesday last week with a dryer that just would not heat

Spent 6 hours at a rental in downtown Portland chasing a thermal fuse that tested fine but was actually intermittent. Has anyone else run into a part that passes the multimeter but fails under real load?

Yeah, had a fuse that did that once, drove me nuts too.

My buddy Mike spent an entire Saturday chasing a thermostat on his Kenmore that would click closed on the bench but open up under the heat of a load. Drove him nuts until he swapped it blind.
