Spent a whole Saturday building a small AI chatbot and it actually worked on the first try

I was messing around with a simple Python script and the OpenAI API for a local history project, but I kept expecting it to break halfway through. It went from zero to answering questions about old train schedules in like 3 hours without any crashes. Has anyone else had a project just click into place like that or is it always a mess for you?

Cracked open a beer to celebrate and my laptop blue-screened immediately, so the universe balanced itself out.

Wait, did you do anything weird or different with the training data that might have made it work so smooth? Cause I've had stuff go right on the first try before, but it usually feels like beginners luck more than anything else. The thing nobody talks about is how much the quality of your input data matters more than the code itself. Like if you fed it clean local history docs with no messy formatting or half-baked notes, that probably saved you hours of debugging. A lot of people skip that part and wonder why their bot spits out gibberish.
