Spent a month stuck between two AI writing tools for my blog...

I was trying to pick between a cheap monthly subscription and a one time payment tool that cost $200 upfront. Went with the one time payment after reading three reviews that said it handled long form content better. Big mistake honestly. The cheap subscription had way better templates for my travel blog and I ended up switching back after 2 weeks. Has anyone else burned cash on a tool that just didn't fit their workflow right?

Bought a lifetime deal on a writing tool for like $180 once and it sounded perfect on paper. The sample outputs were great but when I actually tried to use it for my posts everything came out super formal and stiff. Had to adjust every single paragraph. Ended up going back to my free version of another tool that just worked with less hassle. The problem is you can't really test how a tool fits your actual daily workflow from a 14 day trial or a demo video. Sometimes the cheaper or free options just click better with how your brain works.

Is it really that deep though? Like you spent $180 and it didn't work out, so you moved on. Seems pretty straightforward.
