My AI voice clone project crashed during a live demo last month

I was at a small tech meetup in Austin showing off a custom voice synthesis model I had been training for 3 months. Right in the middle of a sentence, it started repeating a garbled version of a random podcast episode from the training data instead of my script. I pulled the plug, apologized, and spent the next hour debugging in the parking lot. Turned out I had accidentally mixed up two datasets during a late night session. Has anyone else had training data mixups cause embarrassing public failures?

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I used cat photos to test a facial recognition app!

My neighbor's cat actually got flagged as a potential security threat by my phone once. I used a picture of her sleeping on a pile of laundry, and the app was like "possible intruder detected." I mean, sure, that cat does steal socks and knock stuff off counters, but she's not exactly a hacker. Now every time I get a weird alert from my security camera, I just assume it's another cat or maybe a raccoon with a taste for drama.
