My AI recipe helper almost set off the smoke alarm last Tuesday
I was in my kitchen in Austin trying a new AI app that makes meal plans. It told me to cook chicken at 500 degrees for 40 minutes, which seemed way too high. I followed it anyway and my oven started smoking after 20 minutes. I had to air out the whole apartment. Has anyone else had an AI give them really bad, unsafe advice like that?

Always cross-check AI cooking times with a basic recipe online. I learned that the hard way when an app told me to broil fish for 15 minutes straight. My kitchen filled with smoke and the fish was charcoal. These AIs just pull data from all over, they don't have real kitchen sense. Now I use them for ideas but I double-check the actual steps and temps with a real cookbook or a trusted site. It saves a lot of cleaning up smoke damage.
