Just realized AI is turning gardens into water savers
I was at a trade show for landscapers last week and saw a demo of an AI system for watering. It has tiny sensors that check soil moisture and pull in weather info. The AI then figures out the exact best time to water, so there's no guesswork. I set up a basic version in my own backyard to try it out. After a month, I noticed my water bill dropped because the plants got only what they needed. The cool part is the AI learns from past weather and plant responses. This is a big deal for saving water in dry areas or during droughts. It's neat to see tech like this help out with everyday environmental care.

Saw an app last month that uses your phone camera to spot sick leaves on tomato plants. It suggested moving my pots to a sunnier spot and they actually bounced back. Makes you wonder what other simple tech is out there helping us not kill our plants, right?

Using an app for tomato plants feels extra. They grew fine for years without any tech. Moving pots to sunnier spots is basic gardening. Do we really need a phone to figure that out? It's just another gadget to distract us. Keep it simple and watch the plants yourself.

Your point about simple tech made me think of a friend's herb garden. @jennyk62 might call it extra, but the app spotted a mold issue he totally missed.

You said it learns from plant responses - what specific things is it actually learning?
