I was reading a report from a language blog called "The Translator's Edge" and they tested Google Translate, DeepL, and ChatGPT on 50 common phrases. The results showed that all three got over 15% of simple sentences wrong when translating from English to Spanish. For example, "I am going to run" got turned into "I am going to run away" by one tool. Do you think these tools are useful for real translation work, or are they still too unreliable for serious use?

If a doctor uses a tool to tell a Spanish-speaking patient something important and it gets 15% of the basics wrong, that's a real problem. It's not just about "I am going to run" turning into "run away" - that's a whole different meaning. Even small mistakes can change the whole point of a sentence in legal or medical contexts. So yeah, for casual stuff it's fine, but for serious work it's a hard no.
