Dropped $150 on that AI writing assistant and honestly feel ripped off

Man that hurts. I dropped $80 on one of those and barely use it now because everything it spits out sounds so stiff and unnatural. You could grab a free trial of something else for a few months and probably get better results just learning how to prompt it right. Companies really know how to make those subscription tiers look like a deal until you're stuck with something you don't actually need.

...but what specifically bugged you the most about it? Was it the quality of the writing itself, or more that the features they hyped up didn't deliver? I've found those tools can be hit or miss depending on what you're actually trying to do with them.
