Spackle in a sandwich bag saved my crooked baseboards
When I replaced the baseboards in my hallway, the corners came out uneven and full of gaps. My first try with a putty knife just made a mess and kept sliding off. Then a buddy told me to snip a tiny corner off a ziplock bag, fill it with spackle, and squeeze it into the cracks like a pastry bag. It worked way better than I expected, and the patch dried smooth enough to sand in 20 minutes. Has anyone else found a weird kitchen hack that beats the proper tools?

...and honestly that's how half my tool collection started, some random kitchen item doing a job better than the thing I paid money for. I've used a turkey baster to suck up spilled oil in the garage and a chopstick to push caulk into a crack, so the spackle bag trick sounds like a natural next step. The real question is whether you felt like a fancy pastry chef while doing it, because that's the only reason I'd try it honestly. Give it a few months and you'll be frosting your walls with frosting, just to see if it holds up.
