Hit 50 walls painted and the last one nearly broke me

Been painting murals for local shops in Austin and just wrapped up my 50th interior wall job over 3 years. Number 47 was a plain beige office, no issues. But wall 50 was a textured plaster surface that ate 2 gallons of primer before I realized the old owner had painted it with some rubberized sealant. That specific milestone mattered because it proved my prep routine had gotten lazy, 50 walls in and I thought I knew every surface. Spent 9 hours sanding and cleaning that thing, then the client wanted a fake brick pattern I had to freehand. Has anyone else hit a round number of jobs and then had one that forced you to relearn the basics?
